Exercise Log changes on Maintain Fit

I’ve just made a round of changes to Maintain Fit to better highlight that it is an exercise log for new visitors.  I felt like I needed to do a little more to make it obvious.  It was actually fun thinking about it and doing it, since I got to reflect on the features and especially the benefits that I’ve gotten from my exercise log over the years.  Go check out the home page here:

The two points that I take time to explain as the biggest benefits to using an exercise log are

  1. Psychological momentum
  2. Social obligation

It’s difficult to explain, but those two ideas will literally get you out of bed in the morning and can change the very way that you think about exercise.  They are very powerful and are the reason I have been able to run over 2000 miles in the past eight years.
